What’s happing in the poem is that some of the people that were in the planes or in the twin towers in the day of 9/11 started to call there families and saying that they loved them. I thought this poem was really sorrowful. It made feel upset in how many innocent people died. “Please have fun in life and live your life the best you can. Know that I love you and no matter what, I’ll see you again” this was my favorite line because I think that everyone should live they life to the best because they don’t know when they can die.
I was in North Carolina when I first heard the news about the World Trade Center and the Pentagon I had just got from school when my aunt was freaking out about it. I found out about this from the news we were watching the towers when they were in fire well more like smoke coming out. I don’t remember having any feelings towards it probably because I was only 8 years old. The news affected my life because we traveled from bus all the way back to San Diego.
The way I would have reacted if I was on the planes that were hijacked or in the World trade Centers would be probably the same as some of the passenger or people in the building I would have start calling the people that I mostly love. I would have called my parents and my boyfriend. Well I would have said “mom and dad I love you guys go to church tell my brothers and sister that I love them too and Kimberlyn” and I would tell my boyfriend “I love you so much enjoy life and to go to church”.

This poem is sad i remeber i was in class back in 3rd grade when i heard this happen i first thought it was just thought it was an accident that happen, i thought a plane got out of control and crashed and then later when i found it was hijacked. Im shocked people were able to call there loved ones during that time of panic.
